
On a long shot, I went to the advanced configuration of the 5300 and disabled 802.11n support forcing them to disconnect and reconnect to 54 Mbps. I noticed that my wife had started just his cell phone around the same time the jump began.


I listened for a while and all of a sudden the music started to jump. I booted up my laptop today and I began an audio stream from my server and to my surprise it worked perfectly, just as it should. This problem started when several months ago I updated my laptop for Win 7 Professional of Vista Business. To summarize, my problem was that I was able to stream audio or video from my local network or from the internet without losing connectivity frequently or permanently.

Also in the hope that it will save someone else the weeks of effort it took resolve. I finally found the solution to my problem today, and I write this information in the hopes that someone can verify in their environment, what I found in mine. Problem with T500 Intel 5300 AGN WiFi fixed.
